What got you into racing?
When I was 4 years old, one of my friends had told me that he went karting over the weekend. Excited to try it out for myself, I told my father about it and that weekend we went karting. From that point there has been no turning back. Initially we went every Sunday, until we found out it’d be cheaper to just buy a kart instead of renting. My father and I would share the same kart, we’d have a small seat on struts for me, and then remove the seat and my father could drive. I competed in my first race at age 6, finishing in 3rd place. I continued karting until I won the Asian Karting Championship at 13, and then took the step up to Asian Formula Renault, where I won the championship in my first year, becoming the youngest ever to do so at 15, and becoming the first Thai to win it. A few years on, I won the European F3 Open Championship, before competing in the GP3 Series. In 2017 I switched to GT racing, and in 2019 won my first GT3 championship in the Thailand Super Series. From that, I was able to join Audi Sport Asia as an Official Driver.
What is your goal for the next 2 years?
My goal is to win the GT World Challenge Asia, and to defend my title in the Thailand Super Series. In conjunction with that, the goal is to line up a shot at the larger international endurance races, such as the Bathurst 12 hour, Spa 24 hour, and eventually, the big one at Le Mans.
What is your favorite race track to race on?
The best circuit to race on is without a doubt Monza for me. I have fond memories of winning the F3 championship there, with an Italian team as well which made it all the more special. But, the slipstream tactics and non-stop fighting truly make Monza the greatest circuit for racing.
What do you love about your Next Level Racing product? How is simulation helping your training?
I really love the rigidity of my F-GT, also the ability to alternate between a formula driving position and a GT driving position. It’s also purpose built for sim-racing and you really appreciate when something has been made for a specific purpose, I personally love when the bolt holes line up perfectly for my pedal and wheel setup, meaning I can really maximize my brake pressure, and feeling how the car is reacting through the wheel. In GT racing, testing is very costly so we have to rely a lot on simulator training. It’s especially useful for being able to practice the circuits I haven’t been to, and to simulate the qualifying and races.
