WHAT GOT ME INTO RACING?
I started racing when I was only 2 years old, my father and brother use to race go karts and one day I jumped in one and when my dad stopped me, I started crying and that's where he realized that I liked racing! So then he bought me a small baby kart and since then I've never stopped.
WHAT IS YOUR GOAL FOR THE TWO YEARS?
Next 2 years are quite key for my future in racing, as I’m starting now my 3rd season in Japan and 2nd as a factory driver for Toyota, targeting of course the championship for this 2022 season in Super Formula and also Super GT, Toyota have welcomed me when I was in a difficult situation and I feel very comfortable with them so my goals for next 2 years it will be to bring the Toyota flag and brand as high as possible.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE RACE TRACK TO RACE ON?
My favourite racing track is a track that you probably haven’t heard of yet, its a track called Autopolis in Japan, it's like a roller coaster and very tricky. But speaking about some famous tracks I would say my favourites are Suzuka and Spa.
HOW IS SIMULATION HELPING YOUR TRAINING?
I have been using simulators for a long time now and I've always found it very helpful, mainly when I'm going to a track that I don't know yet and that was the case when I came to Japan and having a simulator really helped to learn the tracks faster. I also found the simulator very helpful for street tracks, for example before going to the Macao GP being the most difficult track in the world, I knew that the simulator was going to be very important and I spent 3-4 whole days of only simulator training and this helped me a lot!
