WHAT GOT ME INTO RACING?
My father is a multi-titled racer and my mother used to race, too, but they didn’t really want me to be a racer so they hid all their trophies when I was born. However, my very first sound was “BROOMBROOM” and my first word was “CAR” so I guess I was destined to be a racer- It’s in my DNA. My father taught me how to drive real cars in the race track at the age of 7. At 8 years old, I was already competing and in Time Attack races. I’ve been racing for the past ten years and I have won championships in different disciplines, such as Karting, Gymkhana/Autocross, Circuit, Endurance and Rally Cross.
WHAT IS YOUR GOAL FOR THE TWO YEARS?
In the next 2 years I hope to race in Formula Cars internationally and strive to be competitive and eventually win a championship. I also aim to continue developing my craft as a professional Sim racer. I am living my dream and I’m really happy just to be racing in any discipline. The goal is to remain focused and driven to be able to push myself further and reach my highest potential as a racer.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE RACE TRACK TO RACE ON?
There are several tracks I enjoy racing on but one that stands out to me is Batangas racing circuit in the Philippines because of its blind sweeping corners and elevation changes. The track is also very bumpy making it tough to be consistent. It's a fun but challenging track.
WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT YOUR NEXT LEVEL RACING PRODUCTS?
My Sim racing team joins several endurance races which means a proper and comfortable simulator cockpit is a priority. My Next Level Racing cockpit is extremely comfortable because I can easily adjust the seat to my preference. Strength and stability are also what make my Next Level Racing products a cut above the rest. It can withstand long hours of seat time and it definitely supports extreme force feedback and pedal pressure. Another plus is that my NLR sim rig doesn’t only feel good, it looks so good as well!
HOW IS SIMULATION HELPING YOUR TRAINING?
I cannot stress enough how important simulation training has been for me. I only got into professional sim racing the past 3 years and it has helped me tremendously in my race craft as a real life racer. Sim racing has become very realistic that practicing in my sim gives me the much needed confidence to push to my limits in real life racing. Seat time and practice is key to develop your skill in any sport and with sim training, this is now achievable because it replicates real-life racing experience without having time and budget constraints.
